Hello and welcome to my blog! My name is Amiee, I was born and raised in a northern city in China, a place where winters are long. Now I live in a Southern city where there is no winter.
Why do I teach myself Chinese traditional medicine?
I have been suffering from gastrointestinal diseases, and the hospital diagnosed me with cholecystitis. when I was young, my symptoms were mild, with only occasional indigestion, but when I was in my forties, my yang qi became weak, and the living environment was humid, making me feel more powerless. I’m tired every day, too lazy to talk, feel weak, and I just want to sleep when I’m not working. If I ate something, I would hiccup, and my appetite became very poor.
China has a strong background in traditional Chinese medicine, but my parents don’t know much about Chinese medicine, and they rarely use it daily. When I was young, I didn’t pay much attention to Chinese medicine. I thought that Western medicine was scientific. Until I rethought the source of my illness, it was because I ate too much ice cream when I was a child. No matter spring, summer, autumn, or winter, it was just accumulation. This factor, coupled with lack of sleep at the time, and walking in the snow in winter, caused the cold qi to enter the body, which led to the illness.
I inadvertently heard Chinese medicine programs on the radio, telling some medical cases and prescriptions about ancient doctors. I thought I could try. I went to the pharmacy to buy herbs from a prescription and cooked them at home. It started with a three-day amount, boiled and eaten once a day. I felt better, and then changed one herb. I bought the second list for another five days. When I drank the first sip, my chest felt very comfortable and I couldn’t help but admire it was amazing! After taking about ten more doses, my body returned to normal. Eat, sleep, and work as usual.
The doctor of Chinese medicine will tell you that if the Chinese medicine is right for your disease, you will feel well after drinking the herbs at once, and the symptoms will be reduced or healed. As the classic book says, cure after exhausting the potion, or put down the herbs bowl, and the illness is cured. I am grateful for the wisdom of the ancients and the greatness of Chinese medicine.
Since then, I have developed a strong interest in Chinese medicine. I have bought many TCM books, listened to the radio, and read books every day.
I have used more traditional Chinese medicine methods for daily health care and treatment. When I have a cold, I boil herbs and drink. When I catch a cold, I use moxibustion. Also, try acupuncture when you feel unwell. All have received very good results.
From my study of Chinese medicine and my own rehabilitation experience, I have summarized the following
There is a reason why Chinese medicine is so deeply rooted in the hearts of the people. It is not only the crystallization of the wisdom of many presences but also because it is ahead of the times and is a holistic view. It will judge and treat diseases based on changes in time and environment.
Each cause and environment are different, so what is the most difficult thing in Chinese medicine is to diagnose. Only when the diagnosis is correct, can healed. Though we are not Bian Que or Hua Tuo, we may study Chinese medicine for the health of ourselves or our family. This is enough. There is an old saying in China that children who do not understand traditional Chinese medicine are unfilial, and parents who do not understand traditional Chinese medicine are unkind. If we can protect the health of our family more, that also contributed to human society.
For people who are not sick, the theory of health preservation in Chinese medicine is irreplaceable, because the original purpose of Chinese medicine is to prevent disease. Chinese medicine says that medicine tonic is not as good as food tonic. If there is food that can solve your disease, it is best not to use Chinese medicine. Therefore, when there is no disease, the body needs to be fed from the diet and the body is to be adjusted to prevent the disease before it occurs.
It is also said that the best hospital is the kitchen, the best medicine is food, and the best doctor is yourself. It is only when I am sick that I know that health is so precious. I hope everyone can use ancient wisdom and traditional Chinese medicine to protect their health. According to their physical condition, they can adjust at any time, take a diet at any time, and keep in good health at any time. It is my wish to write a blog.
What shall I do here?
In the blog, I will write about herbs, Chinese medicine knowledge, medical records, health preservation, diet therapy, etc.
My vision
Chinese medicine says that all spiritual activities have their material basis. Only when you are healthy, do you have ideas, aspirations, and motivation to achieve your ideals. If your body is uncomfortable, all ideals are dreams, right?
Therefore, while pursuing ideals, one cannot ignore the health of the body. Let us take it slowly, and based on health, slowly get things done.
